At just 27, Stephen's repertoire in dance is both impressive and extensive.

Following training at the O'Flaherty Academy of Irish Dance in Galway, Stephen's progression in dance began.
Competing both nationally in his native Ireland and internationally Stephens undoubted natural ability in
the art of dance secured him many championship titles.

Taking his flair for Irish dance a step further, he pursued his ambition to make his passion his profession.

In 1998, Stephen was approached to dance in the internationally famous, highly acclaimed dance show, produced and directed by Michael Flatley.

It was from this point on that his love affair with performing began.

Stephen has toured far and wide across the globe. He has been granted the privilege to
entertain royalty of various nations, at a host of prestigious venues worldwide.

Originally cast as a chorus line dancer it wasn't long before his capabilities were soon recognized and he was
asked to perform the principal role of 'the good lord',which furthered his opportunity to develop his
artistic disposition.

Stephen also performed in a theatrical production namely, 'Dancing on Dangerous Grounds'.
The focus of which was based on the art form of Irish Dance. This production was bound for success from the beginning as it secured twelve weeks in London's Westends largest theatre (Theatre Drury Lane) before moving across the Atlantic
to sell out fourteen shows in New York's prestigious Radio City Music Hall.

In November of 2002, Stephen left the stage production Lord of the Dance to co-create and co-choreograph the hugely popular Irish Dance show namely Irish Dance invasion. Invasion sold out it's first eleven shows in Budapest Hungary in just twenty minutes breaking all previous box office records.

Described as one who amazed audiences all over the globe with his magnificent dancing and stage presence by Celtic Cafe.

His number of fans is forever growing and the demand for Stephen to appear in dance productions around the world seem endless.

Described as one of the most creative and unique minds
involved in Irish Dance today his performances have been described by Sinhaz.hu as powerful exhibitions
that never fail to leave you breathless.

In 2003 while performing in his own Co production Irish Dance Invasion Stephen decided to establish a dancing school in Vienna Austria.

Word spread quicker than time past and it wasn't long before Stephen was invited to open branches of the Stephen Scariff school in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

In 2007 Stephen was invited to join the teaching staff of the Butler school based in St Pete and Tampa Florida. Having witnessed the life and energy Stephen has brought along and invested into the school. The school's founder Mrs Sheila Butler Duffy was delighted to entrust her lifelong efforts in his very capable hands.

The school now named The Stephen Scariff School of Irish Dance is home to more than one hundred dancers and the list is for ever growing.
